Day # 1
We headed from Florence to Milan via Italo rail, with the train journey taking just about an hour and 15 minutes to reach the stunning Milano Centrale. The Milan train station was not only beautiful but also connected to a vibrant central food hall, making it a delightful spot to relax and await your next adventure. Our hotel, just a quick 5-minute walk from the train station, was an excellent choice, offering a business-friendly environment alongside a delicious breakfast featuring gluten-free options.

For dinner we headed to San Giorgio Ristorante and Pizzeria, for a delicious dinner of Milano’s Famous Risotto and Veal Milanese. It was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and close to the train station as well.
Day #2
We had a busy day in Milan since this was our last full day in Milan before heading home the next day. We started the day with a group tour of the Duomo and independent tour of the Duomo terraces. Both tickets were purchased through the tour operator.

For lunch, we hit up a legendary spot in Milan, famous for its panzerotti at Panzerotti Luini. Just a quick 5-minute stroll from the Duomo, we found ourselves facing a line, but it moved quicker than I can resist a plate of carbs. We managed to grab a few of these delicious little fried/baked calzones, or as I love to call them, doughy pockets of happiness!

After our quick lunch stop we headed to our next tour, a Viator tour for Sweets and Treats of Milan. We walked to the meeting spot and worked our way back to the Duomo from there with 4 spots to try Italian sweets and pastries and a cup of caffe. We were happily filled with sweets by the end and then headed back to our hotel via the metro to Milano Centrale, an easy location to find since everyone was heading the same way.

For dinner, we headed to a spot my daughter picked out since she has the travel bug too. She picked via Google maps, and with a high rating, I knew it would be a great last dinner in Milan. We headed to Hostaria La Baita for dinner and then to Terra for our final gelato nightcap.
Day #3
We were heading home today and feeling a bittersweet sadness to leave the wonderful country of Italy, a place filled with rich history, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking landscapes that will always hold a special place in our hearts. We were lucky enough to get Business Class seats on the Emirates A380 plane, which made our departure a bit more comfortable and luxurious. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met, and the seats were perfect, offering ample space and a lay flat bed feature that made it easy to relax. The lounge in the back of the plane was a fun treat to try out, complete with a selection of delectable snacks and drinks that allowed us to unwind during our journey. As we settled in for the flight, we reminisced about our adventures in Italy and took a moment to appreciate the high standard of service and comfort provided by Emirates. Thank you, Emirates, for a great flight home!
